Your Subtxt Subscription
To manage your Subtxt Subscription, including upgrading or downgrading accounts, putting them on hold or canceling them, or even downloading of invoices--please visit your Billing page in Settings (the "person" icon in the upper right-hand corner of the application).
Once there, you can see what kind of subscription you have, as well as purchase extra AI credits if needed.
To directly access the billing portion of your account (including all listed above), click the gold "Manage My Billing" button. Doing this will take you to a different site that handles all of the accounts in Subtxt. Once updated, that site will return you to Subtxt with your account updated.
While we would love to be able to offer a proration for upgraded subscriptions, the nature of the AI services we use require a cancellation of all active subscriptions first, and then the selection of an upgraded plan.
For example, if you were on the Basic Yearly plan, and then decided you wanted to upgrade to Subtxt Unlimited AI, you would first need to cancel your current subscription, return to the Billing page, and then choose the upgraded Unlimited AI option.
There is no proration for upgraded accounts.
The writing process is one of development, followed by execution, followed by more growth, and so on and so on. Write, rewrite, write, rinse, repeat.
Subtxt honors this process by making it easy for the writer to start and stop their subscription to our service. Engage Subtxt for as long as it takes for you to get a firm idea of what story is about, then pause while you get down to the business of actually writing.
Stopping a subscription is really just putting Subtxt on hold. When you finish, Subtxt retains all your stories and keeps them safe for when you’re ready to return—whether to dive deeper into the story you’re working on now or when you’re feeling the itch to develop something new.
Subtxt offers various levels of pricing tiers, with the most significant difference being the amount of Subtxt AI Credits for each pay period (monthly or yearly). You can read more about the specifics about The Credit System here.
If you put your subscription on hold before the end of your current pay period, Subtxt will continue to work until the very last day. In other words, if you sign up for a yearly subscription, then promptly put your subscription service on hold minutes later, Subtxt will continue to work for the next 365 days.
Many SaaS applications (Software as a Service) offer a 10-day brief trial period. Subtxt does not.
Developing a full-fledged complete story with Subtxt is a process that could conceivably take 2 or 3 days (or what has been done recently with Subtxt AI: one day)--which is to say, the app is really that powerful. Offering a trial period would make it easy for someone to take advantage of the service by signing up, working out the intricate details of their story, then cancelling before the trial ends. Leaving this option open would make it impossible for us to continually update and improve the service.
We want Subtxt to grow into something more.
That said, we never want money to be the reason why someone cannot improve their ability to communicate their heart's truest intent to the world. If you find yourself trying to calculate whether or not you can afford a subscription to Subtxt, please contact us directly about a temporary free account. It is, however, devoid of the AI features as those call out to a third-party service. We don’t have control over the cost of the AI services, so I can’t include those into this option.
Whether it's a price parity situation we need to consider given various economies around the world, or you find yourself in difficult circumstances, we can always figure something out.
A subscription to Subtxt requires a credit card. If you, for some reason, do not have access to a credit card but would prefer to pay through alternate means (PayPal, etc.) please contact us directly. We are able to setup alternate methods of payment for those who need it. Note that the process is manual so it does take a bit longer to setup. You can contact us directly through the Chatbot Help window located at the bottom right of the application.
Subtxt is an application that is continually unfolding. New narrative structures are added weekly, and our extensive collection of Storytelling Suggestions continues to grow exponentially.
Also, a subscription to Subtxt grants you access to our weekly courses where we gather together to discuss best practices and share our experiences writing with purpose and intention.
While you’re free to start and stop anytime, we strongly suggest staying with Subtxt as a means to improve your understanding and appreciation of narrative structure.
